Socket service description
Browser notifications
Browser alerts let signed-in users see monitoring events in the web panel. Configure external notification channels separately under Channels.
Enable alerts
Provide an accessible RMON Socket service and RabbitMQ connection. For native installations, the service is supplied as rmon-socket. In Docker, set RMON_SOCKET_HOST and RMON_SOCKET_PORT for the existing Socket service in the deployment environment; see the Docker guide.
In Admin area → Settings → RabbitMQ, configure the broker and enable browser alerts. Open your username and enable Alerts, then save.
Verify delivery
Keep RMON open and use a disposable check to generate a failure and recovery. Confirm that both appear. If alerts fail, verify the Socket service address, broker credentials and the HTTPS proxy's WebSocket connection. Disabling personal browser alerts does not disable saved check notifications.
