Countries and regions

Organize monitoring locations

Countries contain regions, and regions contain agents. Use these locations to compare how a service responds from different networks. The names can represent your actual deployment locations.

Create locations

1. Open Agents in the active group.
2. Use Add Country and Add Region to create the required locations.
3. Associate regions with their country and agents with their region. Check that the required entries are enabled and available to your group.

Choose where a check runs

In Dashboard → Add check → Check, use Run checks from:

• Agents: run on the agents you select.
• Regions: RMON chooses one agent per selected region, preferring the agent with fewer assigned checks.
• Countries: create a check in each available region of the selected countries.
• All regions: include available regions through the enabled countries in your group, including shared locations.

Use the + and − controls to move entries between Available and Selected. Select agents explicitly when the check must run on every particular host. A region selection does not mean every agent in that region.
